On 21 November 2025, the COMU Addiction Prevention and Research Center in collaboration with the Çanakkale Provincial Health Directorate, Public Health Department, organized a Tobacco Dependence Training at the Mehmet Akif Ersoy State Hospital Conference Hall.

Family physicians, as well as resident physicians from the Departments of Pulmonology and Psychiatry, participated in the training. The program included presentations by experts on tobacco control, the neurobiology and psychology of addiction, smoking cessation clinic regulations, behavioral and cognitive approaches, pharmacological treatments, and smoking cessation in special populations.We extend our gratitude to all institutions, speakers, and participants who contributed to this event.
