31 May World No Tobacco Day Panel was held

31 May World No Tobacco Day Panel was held in Cemil Meriç Conference Hall with the participation of ÇOMU Young Green Crescent Community and Green Crescent Çanakkale branch, with the participation of ÇOMU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Erkul and Faculty of Medicine Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Özlem Yayıntaş.

Making the presentation of Yeşilay, Lecturer from Biga Vocational School. Assist. Cansu Cengiz stated that Green Crescent has 120 branches in Turkey today in the fight against addiction, and continues its activities in cooperation with 81 public institutions, 50 local governments, 30 non-governmental organizations, 27 universities and 8 private sector institutions. Stating that the Green Crescent's training programs first start with the awareness phase, Lecturer. Assist. Cansu Cengiz gave information about what is done in the fight against tobacco.

 

After the presentation, the panel moderated by Green Crescent Branch President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nilay Köleoğlu started. Provincial Health Directorate Head of Public Services Health Specialist Dr. Aslı Okan, ÇOMU Faculty of Sports Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Hürmüz Koç, ÇOMU Faculty of Medicine Department of Public Health Prof. Dr. Sibel Oymak Yalçın, Faculty of Medicine Department of Mental Health and Diseases Lecturer Prof. Dr. Demet Gümak Yalçın, Faculty of Medicine Department of Mental Health and Diseases Lecturer Dr. Prof. Dr. Demet Güleç Öyeç from the Department of Mental Health and Diseases of the Faculty of Medicine, the panel ended with the presentation of flowers to the speakers by ÇOMU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Erkul in memory of the day.
